We were partly hoping that Jordan Brand would take it easy for at least the first month of 2022 after a typically strong close to the year last year. The Nike Jordan 4 Retro Red Thunder debuts on January 15, much to our dismay and the disapproval of our bank accounts, and StockX has offered us the opportunity to get our hands on a pair early.

The Jordan 4 Retro Red Thunder is a re-release of the popular Jordan 4 Thunder, which debuted in 2006. For many, the Thunder's yellow and black two-tone palette is a holy grail, and Red Thunder taps into that same appeal.

The mesh side panels, eyelets, and tongue lining all have a vivid red midsole, which contrasts with the pitch-black remains. The black uppers are made of nubuck and have a rich, velveteen appearance, giving the red impacts even more punch while also providing a premium finish.
