Porsche Design, Porsche's lifestyle sub-brand, announced its foray into the hotel market in September last year, announcing a partnership with Deutsche Hospitality to launch the Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels. Saudi Arabia's Tourism Development Fund (TDF) has now signed a memorandum of agreement with Deutsche Hospitality to open the Middle East's first Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotel.
The MOU was signed in the presence of Ahmed Al-Khatib, minister of tourism and chairman of the Tourism Development Fund's board of directors, and it grants Steigenberger exclusive rights to launch the first Steigenberger Porsche Design Hotels project in the Middle East. The city in which the hotel will be built has yet to be determined.
"We are pleased to announce the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding with Deutsche Hospitality, a company that blends world-class hospitality with elevated standards to attract entities to invest in, develop, and operate high-quality, iconic hotel projects in Saudi Arabia," TDF CEO Al-Fakhri said. We continue to improve the Kingdom's tourism offering through this collaboration, which will result in first-of-its-kind hospitality products, as part of the National Tourism Strategy.
